XLOG is a network security and logging appliance developed in Turkey since 2014, at the Süleyman Demirel University technology park in Isparta. It brings firewall, IPS/IDS, web and HTTPS filtering, VPN, hotspot and Law 5651 logging together in one device. Law 5651 and Logging
In Turkey, organisations that give internet access to staff, students or guests are required by Law 5651 and the regulation on collective internet use providers to keep access logs electronically and retain them for two years. Using content filtering, and identifying users by SMS or similar methods in public areas, are also among these obligations.
XLOG keeps these logs on the device for two years and signs every record with a TÜBİTAK timestamp. For HTTPS sites, the domain name is logged alongside the IP address. If you already run a firewall from another vendor, its syslog records can be sent to XLOG and signed to make them Law 5651-compliant.
What XLOG Offers
Firewall and IPS/IDS
Stops port-based attacks before they reach your network. IP addresses outside Turkey are blocked by default, with exceptions allowed where needed. Ports can be opened for a set time, so they are never left open by mistake. IPS/IDS inspects packets before they enter the network, and its signature database updates automatically.
Web, HTTPS and Application Filtering
Unwanted sites are blocked with built-in blacklists. Filtering HTTPS sites needs no certificate on users' computers and no proxy. Application filtering blocks or allows applications by ready-made categories.
Hotspot
Guest and user logins are verified by Turkish ID number, SMS, username and password, LDAP, or hotel management system integration. The welcome page can carry your logo, and guests can be given one-time passwords.
VPN, Load Balancing and Redundancy
Branches connect over site-to-site VPN, remote staff over SSL VPN. Up to five internet lines can be combined; if one drops, traffic continues over the others. With High Availability, a standby appliance takes over automatically if the main one fails.

Not necessarily. XLOG can sign the syslog records of other vendors' firewalls to make them Law 5651-compliant. We review your current setup and decide with you whether XLOG should be your main firewall or used for logging only.
